APPRENTICE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure internal/external customer vehicles are protected using proper covers, such as seat, floor, and fender covers.
  • Perform road tests on all vehicles prior to commencing work and upon completion of work.
  • Diagnose, repair and perform maintenance requirements in accordance with automotive manufacturer guidelines and your     apprenticeship level.
  • Diagnose and report existing conditions and additional repairs to appropriate parties.
  • Perform duties as outlined on service orders and discuss status with Advisors.
  • Maintain vehicle records by documenting service, repairs, causes and corrections for customer concerns, vehicle status, billed and actual times, estimates for recommendations and future repair requirements into the DMS system. 
  • Remain abreast of automotive products, manufacturer updates, bulletins, recalls and technical knowledge. 
  • Achieving and maintaining CSI and fixed right the first time scores above regional/target averages. 
  • Communicate effectively, professionally with Service and Parts staff.
  • Assist colleagues with maintenance repairs.
  • Assist in housekeeping of the shop, storage of tools and equipment.
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies and performing  preventative maintenance and notifying Service Management of equipment condition. 
  • Comply with dealership, manufacturer policies, along with local, provincial and federal laws including those governing the rules of the road, health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Registered in Apprenticeship program, self driven to progress through the program in reasonable time frame.
  • Basic complement of Tools
  • Experience working at a Honda Dealership is an asset
  • Desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
  • Must posses a thorough knowledge of technical repairs and procedures
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

SALES AND LEASE CONSULTANT

What we're looking for:

A position for a professional Sales and Lease Consultant is now available for the right applicant.  Previous automotive sales experience is not necessary, and your lack of experience is preferred as we offer full training and a little different culture than the average car dealership.

You will be responsible for meeting and greeting clients, guiding test drives, and assisting our clients in their purchases while building your business and career.

SERVICE ADVISOR

We are responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers with each interaction. By allowing our customers to make informed decisions about their automotive needs and services, they help increase sales and build loyalty which is our focus for 2018! Our Service Advisors play a very key role in our business. They initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested, verify warranty and service contract coverage; develop estimates; write repair orders; maintain customer rapport and records all while making sure their customers stay well informed of their vehicle status and making sure they are comfortable.

Job Duties Including, Not Limited to:
  • Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
  • Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
  • Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
  • Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns
  • Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications:
